282 will have five after school programs (all independent organizations not run by 282 Park Slope) operating on-site this fall.

Our main goal is to give your child something they can relate to, while giving them various outlets to be creative and express themselves.
We offer multiple arts, sports and technology enrichment classes that will expand the mind of your child.

IMANI HOUSE INTRODUCES PRE-K AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM for fall of 2014. This low-cost program includes field trips, dance, music, performance art, academic enrichment, hot meals and more. They also offer K – 5 programs, which are at no-cost until free slots are taken.
The Tiny Scientist
Our after school programs offer young scientists a multidisciplinary chance to build fine motor skills, develop an understanding of scientific principles, build vocabulary, work together with other scientists and engage in scientific discussion. We’ll take scientists on a trip through the water cycle, learn how volcanoes work, experience the life cycles of insects and the amazing journey plants take as they grow from seeds! Recycling helps us turn trash into treasure! We’ll make a chemical reaction “worm” that has us grossed-out and giggly and we’ll figure out how to hold a bubble!
This year we are thrilled to welcome Soccer Shots, an engaging soccer program with a focus on character development, to our after-school roster. Weekly sessions are available for 282 students ages 4 through 10.
Other organizations may also do pick-up from 282 (for example, Congregation Beth Elohim, Robot Foundry, and Brooklyn Music School)–please check with your preferred after school program to find out if they will pick up from 282. Many times they require a minimum of 4-6 students in order to do a pick-up so it important to email them and show interest.
