Park Slope 282 believes that providing students opportunities to engage with foreign language instruction is part of a well-rounded education. The instructional approach with our elementary school students incorporates a program called Estrellita. The program is structured, systematic, cumulative, and entertaining. Lessons include direct phonics instruction coupled with opportunities to efficiently break down the complex process of reading into manageable ‘bite-sized’ skills, which in turn, allows students to achieve success one step at a time.
Park Slope School 282 has two full time Spanish Teachers. One teaches grades K-5 and the other teaches our middle school, grades 6-8.
