PS 282

Welcome to PS 282!

PS 282 is an NYC DOE District 13 International Baccalaureate school* serving 3-K to 5th Grades in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

PS 282 provides a holistic learning experience, where students engage in constructing their understanding of the world through exploring content that not only provides them with the strategies and skills to communicate, collaborate, and reflect upon their relationships with themselves, their families, and the world around them.

At PS 282, we collectively value our community and are committed to viewing curriculum through multiple perspectives and identities, reflecting and representing our community. This provides all stakeholders to know that not only are all welcome, but also belong here. Through the school, student, family, and community collaboration, we at PS 282 prepares students for future college and career readiness, preparing students to take their rightful place as advocates and citizens within a global community.

* PS 282 is a fully authorized Primary Years Programme (PYP) IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy: a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education- that we believe is important for our students.

* Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP).
